You must be pretty excited to book those cheap tickets to Israel. Keep in mind that things will be very different in Israel than they are here in the United States. We’ve put together a few guidelines to help you along with your journey to Israel.
Bargaining: You may have tried your luck with haggling down prices here in the States to no avail. However, in Israel it is almost necessary that you try and bargain for the best price. Not just for purchasing clothes, but for most anything available in city markets. Never accept the first price that is given because it is bound to be too high, especially since they know you are an American.
Emotions: Your initial reaction to Israelis might be that they are rude people. However, this is just because they don’t believe in showing superficial emotions. Many Israelis may not initially smile or act friendly towards you. They save these emotions for their friends, families, and close relatives. Once you build up a level of friendship with an Israeli, they will start opening up more to you.
The Army: In order to understand the backgrounds of Israelis, it is important to know the rules and regulations within their military. The Israeli military requires mandatory service in the army for all men and women when they turn 18. This service lasts for 22 months for women and three years for men. You can imagine how this lifestyle may affect the citizens of Israel.
Now that you’ve read through some guidelines, you’re all set to book your trip through our Brooklyn travel service.
