Europe is a mighty big place and with so many countries so close to one another, there are a lot of places to visit. Whether alone, with family, or friends, booking a European airline ticket is a great idea.
Consider crossing the pond and visiting the United Kingdom for a couple of days. While there, you can visit famous landmarks like the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and Trafalgar Square. You can check out the local scenery, visit a pub, and maybe make a few new friends.
If you prefer to skip visiting our English cousins this time around, we recommend a trip to France. Obviously, heading to Paris should be high on your list, as is visiting the famous Eiffel Tower. After visiting this modern marvel you can head over to the equally famous Arc de Triomphe. Located on the western end of Champs-Elysees, it honors those who died for France during the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, and also lists famous French victories and generals. Beneath the Arc is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier built in World War I. Its eternal flame has stayed lit since 1920 and a ceremony is held every November 11 on the anniversary of the French and German armistice of World War I.
