Travel to Israel – See the Arab Spring Firsthand
The Arab world is in a chaotic and historic phase right now. Revolution in Libya, Egypt, and Tunisia! Civil war in Syria! The world is being remade before our very eyes. This is one of the most important points in the history of the region. If you want to see firsthand a popular revolution, you will need to book flights to Israel. Many of the aforementioned nations don’t have reliable airports so landing in Israel and going from there is your best bet.
After you have booked your flights to Israel, you should look into finding guides to explore the new revolutionary landscape. It is dangerous, but it is worth it to see democracy firsthand. An experienced guide can keep you out of harm’s way. Anyone who is going without either deep knowledge of the area, a guide, or as part of a program, does so at his own risk.
Israel’s central location makes it ideal for travel to the world’s revolutionary hot spots. Talk to the people and get their opinions on the revolution and what they see for the future. You may even win some hearts and minds to the cause of democracy. At the very least, you will learn a bit and in the future, you can tell your grandkids you were there!
