So you just bought cheap tickets to Israel and since you’re going to the Mideast, you’ve been thinking about seeing some of the other sights; namely, the pyramids at Giza. Cairo is so close to Israel that there’s no need to hop on a plane or even a bus. Perhaps the best way to get to Giza is to have some adventures along the way.
First, take a bus or a car to Eilat, Israel’s Las Vegas. With such beautiful beaches you may want to stay here for a day or two relaxing. Once you cross the Egyptian border you will be able to hire a cab to Newabaa-Taba, where some of the best beaches in the region are. Rent a bungalow and stay on the beach for a couple of days. From there you will be able to find a tourist bus to take you to Cairo.
Be careful in Cairo of protests. Do not attend them, as they can quickly become dangerous. If you want to spend more time in Egypt, the resort towns of Luxor and Aswan are safe and beautiful. If you don’t you can take a bus back to Tel Aviv, or even hop a flight. You could always buy a one way cheap flight to Israel and a flight out of Cairo. Talk to a travel agency Israel to sort it out.
