First Time Paris Via Europe Airline Tickets
My friend told me he’s taking a red eye on some cheap Europe airline tickets on the way home from his flight to Israel to stop in Paris. He’s never been there before.
“You gotta go to the Musee D’Orsay,” I said. “It was once an old railway station and it houses all the Impressionist works. And you gotta go to the Louvre.”
“I dunno, we don’t really wanna go to too many museums.”
“Oh, but man, you gotta go to the Louvre. It’s one of the best museums in the world.”
He didn’t look too enthusiastic. He said, “I kinda wanna just sit in a cafe and people watch, drink espresso and smoke cigarettes and hang out.”
“There’s no better place for it in the world,” I said, “What else…? Versailles…”
“Yeah, I think we’re going to go to Versailles, make a day trip of it. It’s what, a couple of hours away?”
“Yeah, I think so. I haven’t been but it’s supposed to be gorgeous. And you’ll see all the countryside. Man, I’m jealous,” I said.
He smiled and said, “Yeah, but it’s going to be painful with those red eye Europe airline tickets.”
“Yeah, I said, but it’ll make it all the better when you arrive.”
