Summer airfare got you down? You don’t have to go halfway around the world for the trip of your life, you can have an amazing experience by going west. The American West is wild, rugged, and beautiful.
Put your monies toward business class travel and stay domestic. Travel to Phoenix, Arizona and rent a car to drive to the Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest, and Saguaro National State Parks. The giant cacti are some of the most common plants in the Sonoran Desert–some can be fifty feet high!
If you really want to explore, continue north to Utah where you can see beautiful rock arches and cairns. Canyons, mesas, plateaus and other scenic natural beauty give Utah the nickname The American Outback.
Or you can go even farther west, and forego some ruggedness for some relaxation. Palm Springs and the Los Angeles area have beautiful Mediterranean weather all year round. Nearby are some other National Parks, such as Joshua Tree and the Channel Islands, off the coast.
Whatever you choose to do, you won’t be disappointed. Not only is there tons of natural beauty to see and experience, but there’s also something remotely American about seeing the barren West. It makes you feel closer to the land which seems so far away as you fly home in your business class travel seats.
